Today is what I would like to call “Healthy Tuesday”. Today for the first time I would be writing on Health related topic.. And yes, a little unusual because it’s specifically on the health of a man.
Take care of your man, isn’t just directed to your husband or your boyfriend. It’s to all the men in your life. Your husband, boyfriend, fiance, brother, father, father-in-law, broth-in-law.
Am sure a lot of us if not all has heard of Prostate cancer. A lot of men due of this illness without knowing about it.. It’s usually been advised by doctors that Men should always have constant check up.
PROSTATE CANCER IS MY HEALTH TOPIC TODAY. 
Many men with prostate cancer have no symptoms related to their cancer. For those that do have sysmptoms, includes  the following :

  • URINARY PROBLEMS –Weak urine stream difficulty initiating urination, stopping and starting during urination, urinating frequently, especially at night, pain or burning with urination. These symptoms are also often associated with no cancerous enlargement of the prostrate, called benign prostate hypertrophy or BPH. 
  • BLOOD –in the urine and semen.
  • PAIN – in the hips, pelvis, spine and upper legs. Pain or discomfort during ejaculation..

Do we know what a prostate is?

  1. A prostate is a walnut sized gland that is part of the male reproductive system.
  2. The prostrate is located in beneath the urinary bladder and in front of the rectum.
  3. The prostrate makes some of the fluid that nourishes and protects a permanent cells in the semen. Just behind the prostate are the seminal vesicles, which make most of the fluid for the semen.
  4. The Urethra is a tube that carries urine and semen out of the body through the penis, running through the prostate.
  5. The activity and growth of the prostate ate is stimulated by male hormones called androgen.

If you want to reduce your risk of prostate cancer, consider trying to :

  • Choose a low-fat diet
  • Eat more fat from plants than from animals 
  • Increase the amount of fruits and vegetables you eat each day. 
  • Eat fish 
  • Reduce the amount of diary products you eat each day. 

Research shows that men with Certain rusk factors are more likely to develop prostate cancer. These risk factors include the following :

  • AGE over 65 – This is the main risk factor to prostrate cancer. The older a man gets, the more likely he will develop prostate cancer. This disease is rare in men under 45 years of age.
  • Family history – one’s risk is higher if you have a father and  brother with it.
  • Certain Genome changes – research suggest that the risk for prostate cancer may be linked to specific changes on party chromosomes.

Having a risk factor doesn’t mean that one will develop prostate cancer. Most men with any of the above risk factor will still never develop this  disease. The most important thing is to go for regular check ups and if you start observing any of above symptoms, please endeavor to see your doctor on time…

  1. Uhhh nice post, I was also told ejaculating regularly can also prevent prostrate cancer. So ladies, make sure the guy cums often. I guess…
